Because in what other vehicle might you think it was a good idea to drive to Old Faithful, YNP - in the winter - when the roads aren't open to cars, only to over-snow snowmobile and snowcoach traffic?
Between the soon-to-be-extended rental and a few fees to various federal agencies, this drive to the park just got a teensy bit more expensive.

Finally, the Hummer was just about to prove itself worthy of all that gasoline and....oh damn.
Well, we can pull 'er out in the spring.

This is about the funniest thing I've seen in a long time.
At what point do you think it got weird? When they drove over the huge hump at the south gate intended to keep out wheeled vehicles? When they hadn't seen a car in a while? When they noticed the road looked like a corduroy ski slope? When the got to Old Faithful and noticed no cars, but only snowmobiles and a snowcoach or two? Maybe when they buried the front axle up to the hubs?
